Pleasant
A clean place to sleep!
- What did you like most? The staff are all friendly and doing their very best to provide good service. The guys working the valet work hard with a very difficult parking situation and were always giving their best for the visitors. The reception staff are also friendly and work hard but they looked tired, seemed like they must have difficult shift schedules. We were there 4 nights and twice asked for room cleaning and no one ever cleaned the room. We had to ask for more trash bags at reception and left the filled bags in the hall which were taken overnight. I think they're understaffed. For the money we didn't complain.
- Was there anything you didn't like? The building is old and in need of repair. It seemed obvious that future plans are probably to demo it and surrounding spaces (which are abandoned or nearly so) and replace with another monstrous high rise. The Ilima is living on borrowed time! Needing paint, repair, and owner investing in maintenance but the staff are doing all they can to make visitors happy.
